THE CUTTING CAFE

Hello my name is Regina Easter. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome supportive husband. I have for as long as I can remember loved all the aspects of creating things with paper and drawing. So it was only fitting that I decided to open up The Cutting Cafe' and I am loving every bit of this new venture. The Cutting Cafe' offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. The Cutting Files which are basically just like templates are files that you Print out using your home printer, Cut, Assemble and then Embellish.....Very Easy.....The Cutting Files also come in the format where you can cut out the files using some of the latest Machine Cutters like the Pazzles Inspiration, Bosskut Gazelle and Cricut (with Scal software). The Printable Stamps are just that, images that are sent to you through email that you print out using your home printer. After the images are printed out, you can just color them in like you would any other stamped imaged...One great thing about the Printable Stamps and Cutting Files is that you no longer have to worry about finding space to store all of your stamps....You can keep them all in a folder in your computer and use over and over again.

Stamps-Alive-Button-210x210

I started my business in 1993 to give me something to do. I had worked all my life and recently quit to be a stay at home mom to my new baby. I've always been interested in paper products and I didn't like paying full price for some of the things I wanted. So I started my business. I like to pass my savings on to others. I've made some really good friends over the years. I've always been a small business I only advertise word of mouth. Over the years I've kept as busy as I wanted to be.

It has been very interesting to see the hobby industry change over the years. I had a "scrapbook" store in my basement before Las Vegas knew what a scrapbook store was. I've dealt with Provo Craft the entire 18 years I've been in business and that has been fun, to watch them change!! The Cricut Messageboard has allowed me to expand my business but still do it "word of mouth".

That baby is almost 18 (March) and will be graduating HS in 2011, I will be ready to be busier at that time! She uses my supplies more then I do, I have decided I'm a collector of everything. I have more fun selling and helping others then I do creating. Maybe someday, when times are slower or I'm not being a "Taxi Mom" I can create. Until then, I collect!

Winter Girl Easel Drawer Card1Winter Girl Easel Drawer Card

thecuttingcafeblinkie

This week I used 2 templates from The Cutting Cafe to create my Easel Drawer Card.  The first template I used is the Frame Shaped Card that I created into an easel card.  I then used the month January from the 2011 Calendar Set to show the birth date that this card is intended for.  What a fun way to personalize that special someone’s birthday by printing out the month and highlighting the date.

Prairie FairySponsor Blurb:  Hello! I am Roberta from Prairie Fairy Designs. I am a new digital stamp company featuring artwork not only created by me but also my two kids, ages 9 and 12. They are featured on the site as the Fairy Princess and the Prairie Prince.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and have always loved to create. Two years ago my sister-in-law invited me to a rubber stamp party. I laughed and said "Maybe I will buy something if I can use it to stamp on canvases.". Needless to say, I was hooked! Two years later and a lot of learning about computers, I have finally accomplished my goal.

While digital stamping is relatively new in the papercrafting scene, it is what I believe to be such an amazing tool. Printed images have such clarity and vibrancy and gone is the need to re stamp an image because you didn't press hard enough or maybe you pressed too hard! They are also a lot easier to store and they can be reprinted over and over again. The fact that you can rotate and flip files, print them off the size of a postage stamp or as large as a scrapbook page makes them such a versatile medium. It is my sincere hope that I can help anyone who has hesitations about using digital images to embrace these amazing creative tools. If you have any questions about going digital, check out the site and the blog for more information. So head on over to http://www.prairiefairydesigns.com/ and check it out!

Prize:  5 Digis from Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps.

For a chance to win this wonderful prize from Prairie Fairy Digital Stamps you just need to leave a comment at the end of this post. A random winner will be drawn on December 20th.  Each stop will also have a word which you will need to collect to make a festive phrase. My word is 'WE'.  At the end of the blog hop you should have collected 11 words.  Leave the festive phrase in the comments section at Cards for Men for another chance to win a fabulous prize.  A random winner will also be drawn on December 20th.   Your next stop is Mandy’s blog

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Good luck to everyone who participates!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Joyous New Year with their family and friends!
