CHALLENGE WRITE UP HEADER

Good morning, everyone!  I’ve got exciting news – I’ve been chosen to be on Craft Us Crazy design team.  I am truly honored and ecstatic!  So, welcome to Craft Us Crazy Challenge #27.  This week’s challenge is Halloween and/or Anything Goes with a fabulous sponsor, The Cutting Cafe.  The challenge will run from Thursday, September 27th till Wednesday, October 10th.  Hope you’ll be able to join us for a chance to win a wonderful challenge prize offered by The Cutting Cafe.

THE CUTTING CAFE SPONSOR LOGO

THE CUTTING CAFÉ … OWNER REGINA EASTER (lovely lovely lady!!!)  If you haven’t checked out her store, please do!! She’s got a range of printable stamps and files for those with cutting machines. But the great thing about Regina’s files are that they also come with PDF files so you can cut them by hand.

Winner will receive THREE Sets from The Cutting Café of their choice.

This card was created using a few different techniques that I have never tried before.  First, I designed my card to be a pocket card.  Secondly, the cat was created doing an iris fold – which was really fun.  And thirdly, the star in the upper left hand corner was a tea fold technique.

RECIPE:

Digital Image:  “Penny Trick or Treat” from The Greeting Farm (Colored with Prisma color pencils, fussy cut out and popped up with 3D Foam Squares).

Stamps:  “Happy Halloween” from Imaginisce, “Trick or Treat” from Michael’s and “Spider Web” from Studio G.

Template:  “Halloween Cat” from Circle of Crafters – Iris Folding.

Techniques:  Iris Folding and Tea Folding.

Card Stocks:  Black and Kraft (TAC).

Digital Papers:  Bearly Mine Designs, Digital Delights, Granny Paper Enchanted, Paper Printables, Free Digital Scrapbooking and Far Far Hill.

Die-Cuts:  Die-namics Ticket, Memory Box Amana Circle and Whimsy Stamps Corner Die Set & Double Scallop Tag Die.

Punches:  MS Iron Gate PATP and EK Success Scalloped Scallop.

Inks:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Wild Honey & Black Soot Distress Inks and White Gel Pen.

Embellishments:  Silver Jingle Bell (Stampin’ Up!), Purple Rhinestones, Black Glitter Spider (Recollections), Viva Décor Orange Pearl Pen, Star Dust & Starry Night Stickles, Gauze, Black Scrapper’s Floss, Orange Jute (Really Reasonable Ribbon), 1/2” Apricot Swirls (Really Reasonable Ribbon), 1.5” Black Crochet Lace (Really Reasonable Ribbon) and 3D Foam Squares.
