Christmas Tree Wreath

Hello everyone,

It has been so long since I have posted on my blog. This year has been quite busy. I finally started my Etsy shop for my new greatest passion that I have enjoyed creating. I've been working on wreaths. The first one I'm gonna show is a Christmas Tree Wreath that has been donated to raise money for Soles for Jesus. This one is my very first Christmas Tree I have ever done. I plan on making more and putting them in my shop. If you're interested please visit my shop at:

Hope you like it. Be safe. Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting.

Comfy Squares Textured Blanket

Good morning!  It has definitely been a while since I've posted anything on my blog.  I wanted to share a blanket I recently crocheted for Glenn's mom for Mother's Day.
The pattern I used is called Comfy Squares Textured Blanket by Little Monkeys Crochet.  I used the color Acrostic from Premier Puzzle Yarn.  Absolutely love this yarn that I purchased from Herrschners.  It is so soft and snuggly.  Will be creating more blankets using this yarn in the future for gifts.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's.  Enjoy your day!

Love, Kym

Crochet Giraffe Hat

Well good evening friends!  Definitely has been awhile since I have posted anything on my blog.  Work at the law firm has kept me quite busy.  In January I was promoted to Legal Assistant/Receptionist.

But, in my spare time I started crocheting again for our newest addition to our family.  My son, Travis and his wife, Mercedes just had their first son, Jackson Connor born on February 18th at 7:06pm.  He weighed 7lbs. 8ozs. and was 21 inches long.  Unfortunately, Travis was not able to be there for when Jackson was born.  He is currently deployed in Afghanistan on his 2nd tour.  Mercedes just recently had Jackson’s newborn photos taken by a wonderful photographer, Apple Dapples in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  This photo she took has definitely captured a love for his father.  He is cradled in his daddy’s dress blues uniform.  Not only does this photo represent a tender moment but is priceless and brings tears to your eyes.  So precious!

Jackson in Travis' Dress Blues

For one of Jackson’s photos I crocheted this darling giraffe hat.  He looks absolutely adorable!  I am so very proud of this little bundle of joy.

I used Vanna’s Choice Lion Brand yarn – Duckie and Red Heart Soft yarn – Chocolate.

If anyone is interested to have this sweet giraffe hat crocheted for that special baby, please feel free to contact me at kymweb at sbcglobal dot net for prices and details.  I have crocheted other baby hats that I will post by this weekend that are also for sale.

This one definitely tugs at your heart.  We love this little boy to the moon and back.

Jackson to the moon and back

Sleeping so peacefully.  A gift worth receiving.  The natural moment she captured is so unbelievable.

Absolutely precious!  Love that his little feet is sticking out. Such a blessing!

Days of Christmas

My winner for Day 12 is - Margreet - http://margreets-scrapcards.blogspot.com/ Please contact Donna at Cards for Men to arrange for you to collect your prize.

Christmas Tree Advent Calendar

Christmas Tree Advent Calendar

Welcome to Cards for Men Challenge blog’s 3rd anniversary.  They have been doing something special every year to say thank you to all their followers, participants and sponsors. They have enjoyed seeing all of your creations and have been inspired throughout the year and hope you have been also inspired by their creations as well. This year they are having a special “DAYS OF CHRISTMAS” event which started on the 3rd and runs until the 14th of December.  Today is Day 12 of the “DAYS OF CHRISTMAS” event at Cards for Men.  Each day a different team member hosted the event showing their fabulous Christmas card/project.  I am the last one to be hosting this wonderful event.  The sponsor for my day is Letraset. You will need to leave a comment for an opportunity to win their fabulous prize they are offering.  I will be choosing a winner on Saturday by Random.org from all the comments left here today on my blog.

ProMarkers are made by Letraset and are a twin tipped, dye based alcohol marker offering a high quality product at a great price.  Available in 148 colours, they give incredible tonal range and can be applied to a diverse range of materials, not just paper and card.  ProMarkers produce vivid, bright colours right through to the subtlest pastel shades – the translucent inks can also be overlaid and blended, even further extending the range of shades and hues on offer.  ProMarkers quality nibs and inks provide flawless colour lay down with consistent coverage and no unsightly streaking.

Prize offered to a lucky winner is 6 Flexmarkers

I created this Christmas Tree Advent Calendar using my Silhouette Cameo that my husband purchased for me for my birthday.  This is the first project I created using this wonderful machine.  I can’t imagine cutting everything to make this advent calendar by hand.  The boxes, numbers, ornaments and 3D star were all cut with the Cameo.  I used a Martha Stewart Snow Flurry PATP punch for the snowflakes.  The bows were made with Brown, Red and Tan Scrapper’s Floss.  All the printed papers were DCWV Holiday Collection Christmas Stack and Holiday Stack.  The Red, Green and Brown shimmer card stocks are DCWV Shimmer Stack.  And finally the boxes were created using Kraft, Green and Brown card stocks from Recollections.

Well, I hope you have been inspired.  I’ve enjoyed creating this project for such a wonderful event by Cards for Men and was truly honored when asked to participate.  Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the fabulous sponsor prize being offered.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!  Hope you visit again!
