Last month I won Top 3 and Guest Designer Spot at Gingerloft Challenge. I was able to pick out an image to play with for their upcoming challenge. The theme is “New Year, Birthday, etc.” So, I chose this darling image Playground2 and created a 4-Drawer Birthday card box. This one was really challenging for me. I ended up re-doing the flowers placement 3 times. I’m still not sure if this is what I exactly had in my mind to create.
Supplies used:
Digital Image: Playground2 from Gingerloft (Colored image with Prisma color pencils and OMS, cut image out and popped up with 3D foam squares).
Sentiment: For A Special Friend – Happy Birthday sentiment from Sentiments 4 You.
Template: Star Shaped Card from The Cutting Cafe.
Tutorial: Box with 4-Drawers from Kirsten’s Blogg.
Card Stocks: Ivory, Brown, Ivy and Orange (TAC), Crinkled Brown, Blue, Yellow and Red (Wausau Paper) and Birthday prints (Celebrate).
Die-Cuts: Nestabilities Scallop Circles and Ovals/Scallop Ovals.
Punches: MS Branch punch, Marvy Small/Medium Daisy punch, EK Success Small Daisy punch, EK Success Small Retro Flower Power punch and EK Success Rock Fern punch.
Inks: Tea Dye Distress Ink (sponged around top of box and yellow flowers) and Sakura Stardust Gelly Pen (daisy flowers and ball on image).
Embellishments: Silver Flower Charm, Silver Jump Rings, Blue, Brown and Red Rhinestones, Black Diamond Stickles (center of daisies on image), 1/2” Wooden Buttons (knobs on drawers), Inkssentials Glossy Accents (dog’s eyes and nose and ball) and 5/8” Leaf Satin ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Kym
